The AVN9 is an Artwood Vintage series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid 2016. It is made in China.
The AVN9 features a parlor body shape with a solid Thermo Aged mahogany top with Thermo Aged spruce X bracing and mahogany back and sides with an open pore finish. The soundhole is round with a black and white multi rosette and the top is bordered with a tortoiseshell binding. It has a satin finished soft-V shaped mahogany neck with an 18-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a bone saddle in a rosewood bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a bone nut and a slotted headstock with antique chrome Ibanez open gear tuning machines.
For 2018 the rosewood bridge and fretboard were replaced with ovangkol. For 2019 the top was replaced with Thermo Aged solid okoume, the mahogany back and sides were replaced with okoume and the mahogany neck was replaced with nyatoh. For 2021 the Thermo aged maple bridge plate was eliminated.
The AVN9SPE is a similar acoustic/ electric model. The AVN11 is a related model with a Thermo Aged Caucasian spruce top.
The AVN9 was discontinued after 2021 along with the entire Artwood Vintage line.
