The AVD9 is an Artwood Vintage series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid 2016. It was made in China.
The AVD9 features a dreadnought body shape with a solid Thermo Aged Sitka spruce top with Thermo Aged spruce X bracing and mahogany back and sides with a high gloss finish. The soundhole is round with a black & white multi rosette and the top is bordered with tortoiseshell binding. It has a soft-V shaped mahogany neck with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a bone nut, a red tortoise pickguard and chrome Ibanez open gear tuning machines.
For 2018 the rosewood bridge and fretboard were replaced with ovangkol. For 2019 the mahogany back and sides were replaced with okoume and the mahogany neck was replaced with nyatoh.
