The AVD1 is an acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2014 as one of the initial models in the Artwood Vintage series. It was made in China.
The AVD1 features a dreadnought body shape with a solid Sitka spruce top with X bracing and ivory multi-binding on mahogany back and sides with a gloss finish. It has a large, round soundhole with an acrylic rosette and a red tortoise pickguard. It has a soft-V shaped mahogany neck with a 12th fret joint and a 18-fret rosewood fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a bone nut, and chrome Ibanez tuning machines with butterbean buttons.
The AVD1E is an acoustic-electric version. The AVM1, AVT1 and AVN1 are related models with OM, tenor and parlor bodies, respectively. The AVD4 is a related model with a solid mahogany top and block fretboard inlays.
