The AVCB9CE is an Artwood Vintage series acoustic/electric bass guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2017. It was made in China.
The AVCB9CE features a grand concert body shape with a Venetian cutaway and a solid Thermo Aged Sitka spruce top with Thermo Aged spruce X bracing and mahogany back and sides with a high gloss finish. The soundhole is round with a black & white multi rosette and a red tortoise pickguard and the top is bordered with tortoiseshell binding. It has a C-shaped mahogany neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a bone nut and chrome Ibanez tuning machines. Electronics include an AEQ-SP2 preamp with onboard tuner, a Fishman Sonicore undersaddle pickup, a 9V battery, and balanced XLR and ¼" stereo outputs.
For 2018 the rosewood fretboard and bridge were replaced with ovangkol. For 2019 the mahogany back and sides were replaced with okoume and the mahogany neck was replaced with nyatoh.
The AVCB9CE was discontinued after 2020 along with the entire Artwood Vintage bass lineup.
