The AVC9 is an Artwood Vintage series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid 2016. It was made in China.
The AVC9 features a grand concert body shape with a solid Thermo Aged mahogany top with Thermo Aged spruce X bracing and mahogany back and sides with an open pore finish. The soundhole is round with a black & white multi rosette and the top is bordered with tortoiseshell binding and a red tortoise pickguard. It has a soft-V shaped mahogany neck with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a bone nut, and chrome Ibanez open gear tuning machines.
For 2018 the rosewood bridge and fretboard were replaced with ovangkol. For 2019 the mahogany back and sides were replaced with okoume, the mahogany neck was replaced with nyatoh and the body length was slightly increased.
The AVC9CE is an acoustic/ electric version. The AVC9L is a left-handed version. The AVD9 is a similar model with a dreadnought body shape and slightly longer scale neck. The AVC10MH is a related model with a solid Thermo Aged mahogany back and Grover tuners. The AVD11 is a related model with a Thermo Aged Caucasian spruce top.
The AVC9 was discontinued after 2019.
