The AV8CE is an Artwood Vintage series acoustic-electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2020. It was a spot model which was made in China.
The AV8CE features a grand concert body shape with a solid Thermo-Aged okoume top with Thermo-Aged spruce X bracing and tortoiseshell binding on okoume back and sides with a reliced antique flamingo pink finish. The soundhole is round with a black & white multi rosette. It has a soft-V shaped mahogany neck with a 20-fret ovangkol fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a compensated unbleached oil-impregnated bone saddle in an ovangkol bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, an unbleached oil-impregnatedbone nut, and antique chrome Ibanez covered tuning machines with mini oval buttons.
Electronics include a T-bar undersaddle pickup connected to an AHA-1 preamp powered by a pair of CR2032 watch cells and feeding a ¼" endpin output.
The AVC9CE is a related model with an open pore natural finish.
The AV8CE was offered only in 2020.
