AV5D Black High Gloss

The AV5D is an Artwood Vintage series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid-2017. It was a spot model which was made in China.

The AV5D features a dreadnought body shape with a solid Thermo-Aged Adirondack spruce top with herringbone purfling and ivory binding on mahogany sides and two-piece back with a gloss finish. The soundhole is round with a herringbone rosette. It has a soft-V shaped mahogany neck with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with special position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge with ivory plastic bridge pins, a bone nut, and nickel Grover open gear tuning machines.

The AV5C is a related model with a grand concert body. The AVD6 is a related model with a Sitka spruce top, a non-slotted headstock and a sunburst open pore finish.

The AV5D was offered only in 2017.
