The AV5C features a grand concert body shape with a solid Thermo-Aged Adirondack spruce top with herringbone purfling and ivory binding on mahogany sides and two-piece back with a gloss finish. The soundhole is round with a herringbone rosette. It has a soft-V shaped mahogany neck with a slotted headstock and a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with special position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge with white plastic bridge pins, a bone nut, and nickel Grover open gear tuning machines.
