The ATZ300 features an African mahogany body bolted to an S-Tech roasted maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with special inlays and Luminlay side dots. Components include a classic Wilkinson/Gotoh VSVG synchronized tremolo bridge with only 4 of 6 screws installed, DiMarzio pickups with a pair of Cruiser single-coil-sized humbucking pickups in the neck and middle positions and an AT-1 humbucking pickup in the bridge position all mounted in a black pickguard, an oil-impregnated bone nut, and Gotoh height adjustable locking tuning machines. A hardshell case is included.
The ATZ300 has one of the narrowest necks of any guitar Ibanez has produced, measuring just 40mm wide at the nut and 55mm at the 22nd fret.
