The AS93FM is an Artcore Expressionist series hollow body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2018. It was made in both China and Indonesia in 2018; Chinese production was halted in mid-2018.
The AS93FM features a full-sized, double-cutaway, semi-hollow body constructed of a laminated flamed maple top with ƒ holes and ivory multi-binding on flamed maple sides and back. The set-in mahogany and maple neck has a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with ivory binding and acrylic block position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 58 humbucking pickups with gold covers and individual volume and tone controls, a Tune-o-matic style bridge with a Quik Change tailpiece, a plastic nut, a tortoise shell pickguard, Sure Grip III knobs, and Ibanez tuning machines.
For 2019 the mahogany and maple neck was replaced with nyatoh and maple. For 2020 the bridge was changed to the new Gibraltar Performer. For 2021 the fretboard material was changed to Macassar ebony.
The AS93FML is a left-handed version. The AS93ZW is a similar model constructed of zebrawood. The AS93QMC is a similar spot model with a quilted maple top and chrome hardware. The AS83 is a similar model constructed of maple. The AF95FM and AG95QA are related full-hollow body models.
