The AS50 is a hollow body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1990. It was made in South Korea by Yoojin as part of the Artstar series. It is also refered to as the YAS-50.
The AS50 features a full-sized, semi-hollow, double cutaway body design with an arched, maple top with ƒ holes and ivory multi-binding on maple back and sides with a maple center block mated to a set-in mahogany neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with ivory binding and pearloid dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez standard humbucking pickups with chrome covers and individual volume and tone controls, black plastic pickup rings, a Tune-o-matic style bridge, a stop tailpiece, a plastic nut, a black pickguard, speed knobs, and Ibanez tuning machines.
