The AS120 is an Artstar series hollow body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1995. It was made in South Korea, likely by Cort.[1]
The AS120 features a semi-hollow, double cutaway body design with an arched, laminated maple top with ƒ holes and ivory multi-binding on maple back and sides with a center block mated to a set-in maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with ivory binding and pearl and abalone split block position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 50 humbucking pickups with gold covers and individual volume and tone controls, black pickup rings, a Tune-o-matic style Full Tune bridge, a standard tailpiece, a plastic nut, a black pickguard, plastic top hat knobs, and Ibanez tuning machines with ivory buttons.
For 1996 the bridge was changed to the Full Tune II. For 1997 the pickups were changed to Super 58s and speed knobs were introduced.
The AF120 is a related model with a larger, full-hollow, single cutaway body.
The AS120 was discontinued after 2003.
