The ARZIR28 is an eight string Artist series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2015. It was made in China as part of the metal focused Iron Label line.
Features of the ARZIR28 include a single cutaway archtop mahogany body, a set-in neck with a smooth heel and a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with acrylic and abalone block inlays. Components include dual active EMG humbucking pickups with individual volume controls, a fixed bridge and tailpiece, Sure Grip III knobs and cosmo black hardware.
Similar six string (ARZIR20) and seven string (ARZIR27) models were also produced.
The ARZIR28 was discontinued after just one year in production.
