The ART series is a line of solid body electric guitars produced by Hoshino Gakki and sold under the Ibanez label. The ART models are based on the classic Ibanez Artist model, but have a single cutaway body shape. It was introduced in 2007 as the third subseries of afforable alternatives for the Ibanez Artist, after the ARC and ARX series which had been introduced the previous year.
Like the Ibanez ARC, the ART has a single cutaway body shape, although with a sharper cut, creating a less "classic" look. To date, all ART models have a dual humbucker pickup configuration and a fixed bridge.
More than 30 individual ART models have been offered since 2007. Most feature a mahogany body with set-in mahogany neck, standard bridge and tailpiece setup and two humbucking pickups.
The most affordable standard ART with these specifications is the ART80. Even more affordable is the further simplified GIO series GART30.
The ART120QA was discontinued after 2021 leaving no ART models in production for 2022.
