The AR250 is an Artist series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1999. The AR250 supplanted the AR200 which is similar except it has a plain maple top. It was produced in South Korea by Cort.
The AR250 features a flamed maple top with cream binding on a mahogany body mated to a set-in maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with cream binding and dot position markers. Components include a Tune-o-matic style Full Tune II fixed bridge and Quik Change III tailpiece and dual Ibanez Axis humbucking pickups with individual volume and tone controls.
The SAR250QM was a similar spot model with a quilted maple top, split block fretboard inlays and different pickups. The AR300 is a related model with different pickups and fretboard inlays.
This version was discontinued after 2004. The AR250 returned in 2009.
