The AR2000 is an Artist series solid body electric guitar model. When Ibanez reintroduced the Artist series for 1998 the AR2000 was the flagship model.
The AR2000 features a short-horned double-cutaway mahogany body with a AAA maple top and ivory binding mated to a set-in maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and abalone dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 58 humbucking pickups with gold covers mounted in rosewood pickup rings and with individual volume and tone controls, a Tune-o-matic style Gibraltar II fixed bridge and Quik Change II tailpiece, a bone nut, Sure Grip II knobs, Gotoh strap locks and Gotoh tuning machines.
