The AR1FM features a flamed maple top with creme binding on a mahogany body mated to a set-in mahogany neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and pearloid block position markers. Components include a Gotoh fixed bridge and tailpiece, bone nut, Gotoh tuners, Sure Grip III knobs and dual Ibanez Super 58 humbucking pickups mounted in creme mounting rings with individual volume and tone controls.
The Genesis Collection was a group of Artist and RG series reissues offered exclusively in Japan in 2014. Other Artist series models in the collection are the AR2 and the AR3AH/AR3MH.
The AR1FM was offered only in 2014 and was sold only in Japan.
