The AR1505 is an Artist series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1983. It was made in Japan. It was referred to an an "Artist Custom" model.
The AR1505 features an arched spruce top with multi-ply cream binding on a double cutaway mahogany body mated to a set-in mahogany neck with a 22-fret Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with binding pearl and abalone split block position markers. Components include dual Ibanez Super 58 Jazz humbucking pickups with individual volume and tone controls, a Gibraltar II Tune-O-Matic style fixed bridge, Quik Change II tailpiece with cloud ornamental plate, a bone nut, Sure Grip II control knobs and VelveTune II machine heads. The headstock has a rosewood veneer and a more detailed inlay than the typical Artist models.
The AR1500 is a similar model with a maple top, ebony fretboard, a brass nut and Super 58 pickups.
