The AR1500 is an Artist series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1983. It was made in Japan. It was referred to an an "Artist Custom" model.
The AR1500 features an arched maple top with multi-ply cream binding on a double cutaway mahogany body mated to a set-in mahogany and maple neck with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with binding pearl and abalone split block position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 58 humbucking pickups with individual volume and tone controls, a Gibraltar II Tune-o-matic style fixed bridge, Quik Change II tailpiece with cloud ornamental plate, a brass nut, Sure Grip II control knobs and VelveTune II machine heads. The headstock has a rosewood veneer and a more detailed inlay than the typical Artist models and the body is finished with lacquer
The AR1505 is a similar model with a spruce top, Brazilian rosewood fretboard, bone nut and Super 58 Jazz pickups. The AR300 is a similar model with a laminated maple neck and Tri-sound switches for the pickups.
