The AM93QM features a semi-hollow, double cutaway body design constructed of a laminated quilted maple top with ƒ holes and ivory multi-binding on laminated quilted maple back and sides. The set-in mahogany and maple neck has a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with ivory binding and acrylic block position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 58 humbucking pickups with gold covers and individual volume and tone controls, a Tune-o-matic style bridge with a Quik Change tailpiece, a plastic nut, a tortoise shell pickguard, Sure Grip III knobs, and Ibanez tuning machines.
For 2019 the mahogany and maple neck was changed to nyatoh and maple. For 2020 the bridge was changed to the new Gibraltar Performer. For 2021 the fretboard material was changed to Macassar ebony and the headstock shape was changed to the "castle" style associated with the Artist series.
The AM93ME is a similar model constructed of Macassar ebony. The AM93QMC is a similar spot model with linden back and sides and chrome hardware.
