The AM300 is a hollow body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1989. It was made in Japan by Terada as part of the Artstar series.
The AM300 features a compact, semi-hollow, double cutaway body design with a special rounded back and sculpted neck heel. It has an arched, maple top with a single ƒ hole and ivory multi-binding on basswood back and sides with a maple center block mated to a set-in mahogany neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with ivory binding and pearl dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez humbucking pickups with chrome covers mounted in ivory plastic pickup rings, a Tune-o-matic style bridge, a Quik Change II tailpiece, a bone nut, Sure Grip II knobs, and Gotoh tuning machines.
The AM400 has a similar body shape but with a birdseye maple top and mahogany back and with different components.
