- For the earlier model of the same name, see AM200 (1988–2003).
The AM200 is an Artstar series hollow body electric guitar model re-introduced by Ibanez for 2017. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The AM200 features a compact, semi-hollow, double cutaway body design with a mahogany top with ƒ holes and white multi-binding on mahogany back and sides mated to a set-in mahogany neck with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with white binding and mother of pearl block position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 58 humbucking pickups with gold covers and individual volume and tone controls, a Tune-o-matic style Gotoh bridge, a Gotoh tailpiece, a bone nut, a black pickguard, Sure Grip III knobs, and Gotoh tuning machines with ivory buttons.
For 2018 the wood species used for the body and neck was clarified as African mahogany.
The AS200 is a related model with a slightly larger body.
The AM200 was discontinued after 2020 and replaced with the AM2000H which is similar but has a roasted maple neck.
