The ALT30 is an Altstar series acoustic/electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2019. It is made in Indonesia and was the initial model in the Altstar line.
The ALT30 features a small dreadnought body shape with a Venetian cutaway. It has a spruce top with a tri-oval soundhole on sapele back and sides. The maple neck has a 22-fret laurel fingerboard with binding and special Altstar position markers. Components include a compensated plastic saddle in a laurel bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut, and chrome Ibanez tuning machines. Electronics consist of an Ibanez undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ2UT preamp with onboard tuner powered by two CR2032 coin batteries and ¼" stereo output jack.
For 2020 the fretboard and bridge were changed to walnut.
The ALT30FM is a similar model with a flamed maple top. The ALT20 is a related model with a sapele top and offset dot fretboard inlays.
