The AKJV95 features a thick, full-hollow body design with a laminated spruce top with ƒ holes and cream multi-binding on a flamed maple back and sides with a single Florentine cutaway mated to a set-in mahogany and maple neck with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard with cream binding and aged acrylic block position markers. Components include dual Ibanez Super 58 humbucking pickups with antique gold covers and individual volume and tone controls, a Tune-o-matic style bridge with blackwood base and trapeze tailpiece, a plastic nut, a black pickguard, Sure Grip III knobs, and Ibanez tuning machines. The finish and hardware are lightly reliced to suggest age.
For 2019 the mahogany and maple neck was changed to nyatoh and maple.
The AKJV95 was discontinued in early 2020.
