The AKJV90D features a thick, full-hollow body design with a laminated spruce top with ƒ holes and cream multi-binding on maple back and sides with a single Florentine cutaway mated to a set-in mahogany and maple neck with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard with cream binding and aged acrylic block position markers. Components include dual Ibanez Super 58 humbucking pickups with antique gold covers and individual volume and tone controls, a Tune-o-matic style bridge with blackwood base and trapeze tailpiece, a plastic nut, a black pickguard, Sure Grip III knobs, and Ibanez tuning machines. The finish and hardware are lightly reliced to suggest age.
The AKJV90D was discontinued after 2017 and replaced with the similar AKJV95.
