The AK80A is a hollow body acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid 2009. It was made in China as part of the Artcore series.
The AK80A features a thick, full-hollow body design with a laminated spruce top with ƒ holes and cream multi-binding on sycamore back and sides with a single pointed Florentine cutaway mated to a set-in mahogany and maple neck with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with cream binding and aged pearl dot position markers. Components include an ART-W bridge with wooden saddle and base, a VT60 trapeze tailpiece, a plastic nut, a spruce pickguard with matching finish, and Ibanez tuning machines.
The AK80 is a related model with a pair of humbucking pickups. The AK84 is a similar full acoustic predecessor.
