The AGS83BBG is an Artcore series hollow body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2008. It was produced in China.
The AGS83BBG features a slim, mid-sized, semi-hollow body design with an arched laminated bubinga top with ƒ holes and ivory multi-binding on bubinga back and sides with a single Venetian cutaway mated to a set-in mahogany neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with black binding and abalone Artcore DX position markers. The neck joint is at the 17th fret; combined with the deep cutaway this increases upper fret access. Components include a pair of Ibanez Artcore humbucking pickups with cosmo black covers and individual volume and tone controls, a Tune-o-matic style bridge, a Quik Change tailpiece, a plastic nut, speed knobs, and Ibanez tuning machines.
The AGS83BBG mates the single-cutaway body of the AG75 to the semi-hollow construction of the AS73. The AGS83B is a similar model with a flamed maple body.
