The AG95QA is an Artcore Expressionist series hollow body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2018. It was initially produced in China, but production in Indonesia began almost immediately and Chinese production was halted in mid 2018.
The AG95QA features a mid-sized, full-hollow body design with a single Venetian cutaway constructed of a laminated quilted ash top with ƒ holes and cream multi-binding on quilted ash sides and back. The set-in mahogany and maple neck joins the body at the 14th fret and has a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with cream binding and acrylic block position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 58 humbucking pickups with gold covers and individual volume and tone controls, a Tune-o-matic style bridge on a laurel base, a trapeze tailpiece, a plastic nut, a matching quilted ash pickguard, Sure Grip III knobs, and Ibanez tuning machines with half moon buttons.
For 2019 the mahogany and maple neck was replaced with nyatoh and maple. For 2020 the bridge was replaced with the new Gibraltar Performer. For 2021 the fretboard material was changed to Macassar ebony.
The AG95QAL is a left-handed version. The AG95K is a similar model with an acacia body. The AG85 is related model with a linden body, opaque finish and different pickups. The AF95FM is a related model with a slightly larger body constructed of flamed maple.
