The AG86 is an Artcore Deluxe series hollow body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2006. It was made in China. It replaced the similar AG85.
The AG86 features a mid-sized, full-hollow body design with a laminated figured bubinga top with ƒ holes and cream multi-binding on figured bubinga back and sides with a single Venetian cutaway mated to a set-in mahogany and maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with cream binding and pearl block position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Artcore humbucking pickups with chrome covers and individual volume and tone controls, a Tune-o-matic style bridge on a wooden base, a VT100DX wood-decorated tailpiece, ivory plastic nut and pickup rings, a matching figured bubinga pickguard, speed knobs, and Ibanez tuning machines.
The AG86N is a similar model with a spruce body. The AG75 is a related model with a maple body and one-piece neck.
This AG86 was discontinued after just one year in production. The AG95 is a similar model introduced the following year.
