The AFJ957 is a seven string hollow body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2013. It was made in China as part of the Artcore Expressionist series.
The AFJ957 features a thick, full-hollow body design with a laminated spruce top with ƒ holes and cream multi-binding on maple back and sides with a single rounded Venetian cutaway mated to a set-in mahogany and maple neck with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with cream binding and pearl block position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Artcore ACJ-7 humbucking pickups with gold covers and individual volume and tone controls, an ART-7 bridge with wooden saddle and base, a wooden tailpiece, a plastic nut, a black bakelite pickguard, Sure Grip III knobs, and Ibanez tuning machines.
The pickups were changed to Ibanez Classic Elite humbuckers and the pearl block inlays were changed to acrylic block for 2015.
The AFJ95 is a similar six string model. The AF207 is another hollow-body seven string.
