The AF95FM is an Artcore Expressionist series hollow body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2018. It was initially produced in China, but production very soon began also in Indonesia and Chinese production was shut down after just a few months.
The AF95FM features a full-hollow body design with a laminated flamed maple top with ƒ holes and ivory multi-binding on flamed maple back and sides with a single Venetian cutaway mated to a set-in mahogany and maple neck with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard with ivory binding and acrylic block position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 58 humbucking pickups with gold covers and individual volume and tone controls, a Tune-o-matic style bridge on a laurel base, a trapeze tailpiece, a plastic nut, a tortoise pickguard, Sure Grip III knobs, and Ibanez tuning machines.
For 2019 the mahogany and maple neck was replaced with nyatoh and maple. For 2020 the bridge was replaced with the new Gibraltar Performer. For 2021 the fretboard was changed to Macassar ebony.
The AF95 is a similar model with a spruce top and linden back and sides and with a different tailpiece. The AG95QA is a related model with a slightly smaller body constructed of quilted ash.
