The AF86 is an Artcore Deluxe series hollow body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2006. It was produced in China and replaced the AF85.
The AF86 features a full-hollow body design with a laminated flamed maple top with ƒ holes and ivory multi-binding on flamed maple back and sides with a single Venetian cutaway mated to a set-in mahogany and maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with ivory binding and abalone block position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Artcore humbucking pickups with chrome covers and individual volume and tone controls, a Tune-o-matic style bridge on a wooden base, a wood-decorated tailpiece, ivory plastic nut and pickup rings, a flamed maple pickguard, speed knobs, and Ibanez tuning machines.
The AF86L is a left-handed version. The AF75 & AF75D are similar models with maple bodies and one-piece necks.
The AF86 was discontinued after just one year in production. The similar AF95 was introduced the following year.
