The AF85 is a hollow body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2015. It was made in China as part of the Artcore Expressionist series.
The AF85 features a thick, full-hollow body design with a laminated flamed sycamore top with ƒ holes and cream multi-binding on flamed sycamore back and sides with a single rounded Venetian cutaway mated to a set-in mahogany and maple neck with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with cream binding and acrylic block position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 58 humbucking pickups with gold covers and individual volume and tone controls, an ART-1 Tune-o-matic style bridge on a wooden base, a trapeze tailpiece, a plastic nut, a black bakelite pickguard, Sure Grip III knobs, and Ibanez tuning machines.
The AF95FM, AF95FB and AF95RW are similar models with, respectively, flamed maple, figured bubinga and rosewood bodies.
This AF85 was produced only in 2015 and was offered only in Japan.
