The AEWC4012FM is a twelve string AEW series acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2018. It was produced in China.
The AEWC4012FM features a grand concert body with a soft Florentine cutaway and an arched back. The top is laminated flamed maple with abalone purfling on flamed maple back and sides with a high gloss finish. The round soundhole has an abalone rosette. It has a mahogany neck with a 25" scale, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with special dot position markers. Components include a plastic saddle in a rosewood bridge, Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut, and chrome Ibanez die-cast tuning machines with black buttons.
Electronics consist of a Fishman Sonicore pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and balanced XLR and ¼" stereo output jacks.
For 2019 the neck was changed from mahogany to nyatoh and the fretboard and bridge were changed from rosewood to laurel. For 2020 the fretboard and bridge were again changed, this time to walnut.
