The AEWC32FM is an AEW series acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2017. It is produced in China.
The AEWC32FM features a thin, grand concert shaped body with a soft Florentine cutaway and an arched back. The top is laminated flamed maple with black and white binding on mahogany back and sides with a low gloss finish. The round soundhole has a black & white acrylic rosette. It has a mahogany neck with a 25" scale, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with offset white dot position markers. Components include a plastic saddle in a special top-loading rosewood bridge which eliminates the need for bridge pins, a plastic nut, and black Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
Electronics consist of a Fishman Sonicore pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ210TF preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and ¼" output jack. The pickup was renamed the S-Core for 2024, but it is the same unit.
For 2018 the back and sides were changed to sapele. For 2019 the neck was changed from mahogany to nyatoh and the fretboard and bridge were changed from rosewood to laurel. For 2020 the fretboard and bridge were again changed, this time to walnut.
The AEWC11 and AEWC10 are similar models with spruce tops. The AEWC31BC is a related model with a thicker body, a bocote top and different electronics.
