The AEWB32 is an AEW bass series acoustic/ electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2018. It was produced in China.
The AEWB32 features a grand concert shaped body with a soft Florentine cutaway and an arched back. The top is laminated spruce with black binding on mahogany back and sides with a gloss finish. The round soundhole has a walnut rosette. It has a maple & mahogany neck with a 32" scale, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with maple dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a bone nut, and black Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
Electronics consist of a Fishman Sonicore pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and balanced XLR and ¼" stereo outputs.
For 2018 the back and sides were changed to sapele. For 2019 the neck was changed from mahogany to nyatoh and the fretboard and bridge were changed from rosewood to laurel. For 2020, the fretboard material was again changed, this time to walnut.
The AEWB32 was discontinued in 2020.
