The AEWB20 is an AEW bass series acoustic/ electric bass model introduced by Ibanez in mid 2016. It was produced in China.
The AEWB20 features a grand concert shaped body with a soft Florentine cutaway and an arched back. The top is laminated Sitka spruce with multi-wooden binding on mahogany back and sides with a gloss finish. The round soundhole has a rosewood rosette. It has a mahogany & maple neck with a 34" scale, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with maple dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge with black bridge pins, a bone nut, and black Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
Electronics consist of a Fishman Sonicore pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and balanced XLR and ¼" stereo outputs.
The AEWB50 is a similar model with a maple, walnut and ovangkol mosaic body.
The AEWB20 was discontinued in 2017.
