The AEW14LTD4 is an AEW series acoustic-electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2014. It was a spot model which was produced in China and sold exclusively in the US. Production was limited to 60 examples.
The AEW14LTD4 features a grand concert shaped body with a soft Florentine cutaway. The top is solid Sitka spruce with rosewood binding on acacia sides and a two-piece back with wooden multi strip inlay. The finish is a natural high gloss. The round soundhole has an acacia and rosewood rosette. It has a mahogany neck with a dovetail neck joint and a 25½" scale, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with maple dot position markers. Components include a bone saddle in a rosewood bridge, black plastic bridge pins, a bone nut, and gold Ibanez die-cast tuning machines with ebony buttons.
Electronics consist of a Fishman Sonicore pickup, an Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and balanced XLR and ¼" outputs.
The AEW2014LTD, AEW14LTD2, and AEW14LTD3 are three other similar limited edition models with different top inlay designs and bubinga back and sides. The AEW23ZW is a similar model with zebrawood back and sides. The AEW23MV is a similar model with movingui back and sides. The AEW22CD is a related model with cordia or walnut back, sides and top inlay. The AEW21VK is a related model with a related model with ovangkol.
The AEW14LTD4 was offered only in 2014.
