The AEW120BG is an AEW series acoustic-electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2015. It was produced in China.
The AEW120BG features a grand concert shaped body with a soft Florentine cutaway. The top is solid Sitka spruce with rosewood binding on bubinga sides and a two-piece back with wooden multi strip inlay. The finish is a natural high gloss. The round soundhole has a bubinga, acacia, rosewood, and abalone rosette. It has a mahogany neck with a dovetail neck joint and a 25½" scale, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with maple dot position markers and a specially designed headstock inlay. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge, black plastic bridge pins, a bone nut, and gold Ibanez die-cast tuning machines with black buttons.
Electronics consist of a Fishman Sonicore pickup, an Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and balanced XLR and ¼" outputs.
