The AEM34B is a fretless AEM series acoustic/ electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1999. It was produced in South Korea.
The AEM34B features an arched top and back body with a soft Florentine cutaway. The top is laminated spruce with multi-ply binding on mahogany back and sides. The oval soundhole has an acrylic rosette and and a wooden thumb rest. It has a mahogany neck with a 32" scale and a fretless rosewood fingerboard with 22 white lines and white dot position markers. Components include a compensated plastic saddle in a walnut bridge with black plastic bridge pins, a plastic nut, and chrome Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
Electronics consist of a Shadow SH064 pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ45 preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and a ¼" stereo output.
The AEM20 and AMB28 are similar body shape guitar models with chrome and gold hardware.
