The AEL108TD is an eight string AEL series acoustic/electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2015. It was produced in China.
The AEL108TD features a jumbo body with a soft Venetian cutaway shape constructed of a spruce top with X bracing and black and white multi-binding on mahogany sides and a two piece mahogany back with a gloss finish. The round soundhole has an abalone and maple rosette. It has a mahogany neck with 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include a compensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge with Ibanez Advantage pins, a bone nut, and chrome die-cast tuning machines.
The two treble strings (tuned to B and E in standard tuning) are doubled. The AEL108MD is a similar model with the two middle strings (tuned to D & G in standard tuning) doubled instead.
