The AEGB30E is an AEG series acoustic/ electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2022. It is produced in Indonesia.
The AEGB30E features a thin body with a soft Florentine cutaway constructed of a laminated spruce top with an elbow contour on laminated sapele sides and back. The round soundhole has an acrylic rosette and a wooden thumb rest. The nyatoh and maple neck joins the body at the 16th fret and has a 32" scale, 21-fret walnut fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a compensated plastic saddle in a walnut bridge with black plastic bridge pins, a plastic nut, and black Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
Electronics consist of an Ibanez under saddle pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-2T preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and a feeding a ¼" stereo output.
The neck width and scale were increased slightly for 2024. For 2025 the fretboard and bridge were changed to rosewood.
