The AEGB24FE is a fretless AEG series acoustic/ electric bass model introduced by Ibanez in late-2023. It is produced in Indonesia.
The AEGB24FE features a thin body with a soft Florentine cutaway constructed of a laminated sapele top with herringbone purfling and black binding on laminated sapele sides and back. The round soundhole has an acrylic rosette and and a wooden thumb rest. The nyatoh and maple neck joins the body at the 16th fret and has a 32" scale fretless walnut fingerboard with white side lines. Components include a compensated plastic saddle in a walnut bridge with black plastic bridge pins, a plastic nut, and black Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
Electronics consist of an Ibanez under saddle pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-2T preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and feeding a ¼" stereo output.
The neck width and scale were increased slightly for 2024. For 2025 the bridge and fretboard were changed to rosewood.
