The AEG74 is an AEG series acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2023. It is produced in Indonesia.
The AEG74 features a thinner grand concert shaped body with a soft Venetian cutaway. The top is sapele with abalone binding on bocote back and sides with a high gloss finish. The round soundhole has an abalone purfling rosette. It has a nyatoh neck with a 25" scale, a Comfort Grip profile, a satin-finish, and a 20-fret Macassar ebony fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include a plastic saddle in an Indonesian ebony bridge, Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut, and Ibanez gold die-cast tuning machines.
Electronics consist of an Ibanez T-bar II undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-TTS preamp with onboard tuner and LCD display powered by a 9V battery and feeding balanced XLR and ¼" stereo output jacks.
