The AEG721 is a seven string AEG series acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2025. It is produced in Indonesia. It was offered as part of the "Blackout" series of fully black acoustics along with the AEWC621 and the TCY621.
The AEG721 features a grand concert shaped body with a soft Venetian cutaway. The top is laminated spruce with black binding on sapele sides and back with a black matte finish. The round soundhole has a simple black waterslide rosette. It has a nyatoh and maple neck with a 25" scale, a Comfort Grip profile, a satin-finish, and a 20-fret Macassar ebony fingerboard with only side dot position markers. Components include a dyed black bone saddle in a Macassar ebony bridge, Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a dyed black bone nut, and Ibanez black die-cast tuning machines.
Electronics consist of a Fishman S-Core undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp with onboard tuner and 2-band EQ powered by a 9V battery and feeding balanced XLR and ¼" stereo output jacks.
