AEG7 Transparent Vintage Sunburst High Gloss (more images)
The AEG7 is an AEG series acoustic-electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2023. It is produced in China.
The AEG7 features a thinner grand concert shaped body with a soft Venetian cutaway. The top is laminated spruce with binding on sapele back and sides with a high gloss finish. The round soundhole has a black & white acrylic rosette. It has an okoume neck with a 25" scale, 20-fret purpleheart fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include a plastic saddle in a purpleheart bridge, Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut, and chrome Ibanez die-cast tuning machines. Electronics consist of an Ibanez undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-2T preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and feeding a ¼" stereo output.
For 2024 the name of the neck profile was changed, but the dimension were unchanged.
The AEG7L is a left-handed version. The AEG7MH is a similar model with a sapele top.
