The AEG52 is an AEG series acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid-2021. It is produced in Indonesia and sold in Japan.
The AEG52 features a thinner grand concert shaped body with a soft Venetian cutaway. The top is laminated spruce with black and white binding on okoume back and sides with a high gloss finish. The round soundhole has a black & white acrylic rosette. It has a satin-finish nyatoh neck with a 25" scale, 20-fret laurel fingerboard with acrylic vine inlays. Components include a plastic saddle in a laurel bridge, Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut, and chrome Ibanez die-cast tuning machines. Electronics consist of an Ibanez T-bar II undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-TTS preamp with onboard tuner and LCD display powered by a 9V battery and ¼" stereo output jack.
The AEG50 is a similar model with white dot fretboard inlays.
