The AEG50N is an AEG series nylon stringed acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2021. In some markets it replaced a model with the same name that is made in China; the Chinese version also continues to be produced for other markets and has some small differences.
The AEG50N features a thinner grand concert shaped body with a soft Venetian cutaway. The top is laminated spruce with black and white binding on okoume sides and back with a high gloss finish. The round soundhole has a black & white acrylic rosette. It has a satin-finish nyatoh neck with a 25" scale, 20-fret laurel fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include a plastic saddle in a laurel bridge, a plastic nut, and gold Ibanez classical tuning machines with white buttons.
Electronics for the AEG50N consist of an Ibanez T-bar II undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-TTS preamp with onboard tuner and LCD display powered by a 9V battery and ¼" stereo output jack.
For 2024 the body length of the Chinese-made version sold in the USA was shortened very slightly to match that of the Indonesian-made version which is sold in other markets.
