AEG50N Black High Gloss Top, Natural High Gloss Back and Sides (more images)
The AEG50N is an AEG series nylon stringed acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2020. It is produced in China. A second model with the same name but that is produced in Indonesia was added for 2021; the Indonesian is sold in other markets and has some slight differences.
The AEG50N features a thinner grand concert shaped body with a soft Venetian cutaway. The top is laminated spruce with black and white binding on sapele back and sides with a high gloss finish. The round soundhole has a black & white acrylic rosette. It has a satin-finish nyatoh neck with a 25" scale, 20-fret walnut fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include a plastic saddle in a walnut bridge, a plastic nut, and gold Ibanez classical tuning machines with white buttons. Electronics consist of an Ibanez T-bar II undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-TTS preamp with onboard tuner and LCD display powered by a 9V battery and feeding a ¼" stereo output jack.
For 2024 the body length of the was reduced very slightly. For 2025 the fretboard and bridge were changed to rosewood.
