AEG50L Black Burst High Gloss
The AEG50L is a left handed AEG series acoustic/ electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2020. The version documented here is produced in China for sale in the Japan and USA markets (and Europe in 2020), another model with the same name that is produced in Indonesia is sold in other markets; the two versions are similar but have some differences in their specifications.
The AEG50L features a thinner grand concert shaped body with a soft Venetian cutaway. The top is laminated spruce with black and white binding on sapele back and sides with a high gloss finish. The round soundhole has a black & white acrylic rosette. It has a satin-finish nyatoh neck with a 25" scale, 20-fret walnut fingerboard with small white dot position markers. Components include a plastic saddle in a walnut bridge, Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut, and chrome Ibanez die-cast tuning machines. Electronics consist of an Ibanez T-bar II undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-TTS preamp with onboard tuner and LCD display powered by a 9V battery and feeding a ¼" stereo output jack.
The name of the neck profile was changed for 2024, but the dimensions remain the same.
